How to Get Lush in Garden Horizons

Master the Lush mechanic to triple your crop value. Complete guide to ripening stages and offline progression.

⚔ TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read)

  • 1.Lush = 3x Sell Price (vs Unripe 1x, Ripened ~2x)
  • 2.Ripening happens offline - just plant and wait
  • 3.Wait for Lush on expensive crops; harvest early on cheap crops
  • 4.Use our Reverse Calculator to plan your target weight

What is Lush?

Plants go through three ripening stages, each with different sell price multipliers:

Unripe: 1.0x - 1.9x multiplier

  • Initial stage when plant finishes growing
  • Lowest sell value

Ripened: 2.0x - 2.9x multiplier

  • Middle stage
  • Progresses through 2.0, 2.1, 2.2... up to 2.9

Lush: 3.0x multiplier

  • Final stage
  • Maximum sell value
  • Triples your base sell price

Example: A Carrot with base price 30 shillings:

  • Unripe: ~30 shillings
  • Ripened: ~60 shillings
  • Lush: 90 shillings

Offline Ripening: Ripening progresses even when you're not playing. You no longer need to stay online or schedule "Lush Sessions" - simply plant and wait!

How Long to Lush?

The time from planting to Lush varies by crop's base growth time. This happens automatically, even when you're offline.

Approximate time from planting to Lush:

CropBase GrowthEst. Time to Lush
Carrot15 min~2 hours
Corn25 min~3 hours
Tomato30 min~4 hours
Cabbage22 min~3 hours
Cherry42 min~5 hours
Mango170 min~20 hours

Note: These are estimates. Actual time varies slightly and is affected by:

  • Sprinklers (speed up growth)
  • Weather events
  • Whether you're online or offline

The key insight: Higher base growth time = longer to Lush, not necessarily higher value per hour.

Which Crops to Wait For Lush?

Not all crops are worth waiting for Lush. Use this framework:

āœ… Worth Waiting for Lush:

High base price makes the 3x multiplier significant:

  • Cabbage (Legendary, 60k base) → 180k at Lush
  • Cherry (Legendary, 8k base) → 24k at Lush
  • Pomegranate (Epic, 8,333 base) → 25k at Lush
  • Any crop with mutations applied (multipliers stack!)

āŒ Don't Wait (Harvest Early):

Low value means opportunity cost of waiting:

  • Carrot (Common, 30 base) → 90 at Lush (but 2 hours waiting!)
  • Corn (Common, 15 base) → 45 at Lush
  • Dandelion (Common, pack-only)

The Math:

A Carrot takes ~2 hours to reach Lush for an extra 60 shillings.

In that same 2 hours, you could plant and harvest Carrots 8 times.

Rule of thumb: If the crop costs less than 1,000 shillings, harvest early and reinvest.

Maximizing Lush Value

Combine Lush with other multipliers for massive gains:

Multiplier Stacking (Multiplicative)

Lush multiplies with other bonuses:

  • Lush (3x) Ɨ Gold Color (5x) = 15x base value
  • Lush (3x) Ɨ Starstruck Mutation (6.5x) = 19.5x base value
  • Lush (3x) Ɨ Gold (5x) Ɨ Starstruck (6.5x) = 97.5x base value!

Example Calculation:

Cabbage with base price 60,000:

  • Base: 60,000
  • Lush only: 180,000
  • Lush + Gold: 900,000
  • Lush + Gold + Starstruck: 5,850,000

Strategy:

When you see Starfall or Storm weather coming, plant your most valuable seeds and wait for both Lush AND the mutation.

Using Reverse Calculator to Plan

Scenario: You need 100,000 shillings for a Turbo Sprinkler. Should you wait for Lush?

Using Reverse Calculator:

1. Select your crop (e.g., Beetroot)

2. Set target price: 100,000

3. Set ripening to Lush (3.0x)

4. Add any expected mutations

The calculator shows you exactly what weight you need to hit your target.

Decision Framework:

Wait for Lush if 2+ conditions are met:

  • Crop is Epic or Legendary rarity
  • You have mutations applied (or expect weather events)
  • You can afford to wait (don't need quick cash)

Harvest Early if:

  • You need quick cash for reinvestment
  • Crop is Common/Uncommon
  • No mutations applied

The 60/40 Rule

Optimal garden management for steady income + big wins:

60% of garden: Quick Turnaround

  • Common/Uncommon crops
  • Harvest early, reinvest constantly
  • Steady cash flow for operations

40% of garden: Lush Candidates

  • Epic/Legendary crops
  • Wait for Lush + mutations
  • Occasional big payouts

Why this works:

  • The 60% keeps shillings flowing for daily operations
  • The 40% generates the big numbers that fund upgrades
  • Prevents "all or nothing" risk while still growing fast

Adjust based on your current goals:

  • Need quick cash? Shift to 80/20
  • Saving for big purchase? Shift to 40/60

Offline Ripening Tips

Key Benefits of Offline Ripening:

  • Ripening progresses even when you're not playing
  • No need to schedule around game time
  • Plant anytime, check back when convenient

Practical Strategies:

āœ… Plant expensive crops before logging off

āœ… Check back the next day for fully ripened Lush crops

āœ… Enjoy a more flexible play schedule

šŸ“‹ Lush Decision Framework

  • •Wait for Lush if: Epic/Legendary + mutations expected + can wait
  • •Harvest early if: Common/Uncommon + need quick cash
  • •Check crop base price: >1,000 = consider waiting
  • •Use Reverse Calculator to plan target weight
  • •60/40 split: 60% quick crops, 40% Lush candidates
